BARBERA FISH FESTIVAL

THE EVENT

Since 2014 the bi-annual Barbera Fish Festival is always eagerly awaited. This event is dedicated to the marriage together of Norwegian cod and our Barbera d’Asti

An unusual combination rooted in the Piedmontese tradition and born from a twinning that unites the sea of the North and the Unesco vineyards of our small village here which welcomes Norwegians and other nationalities as both visitors and residents. An event not to be missed for those who love wine and quality food. During the Barbera Fish Festival it is possible to taste and appreciate the many varieties of Barbera from the wine producers of Agliano Terme and held in the deconsecrated church of San Michele in the centre of the village. A true festival of taste, come and combine our great wines with dishes made with wonderful fresh cod, stoccafisso e baccalà.

The previous editions of the Barbera Fish Festival we introduced the participation of important chefs from both Italy and Norway: Ørjan Johannessen, winner of the 2015 edition of the Bocuse d’Or, the prestigious international cooking competition; Enrico Crippa, Restaurant Piazza Duomo (Alba) with 3 Michelin Stars; Gunnar Hvarnes, bronze at the Bocuse d’Or; Sven Erik Renaa, Paolo Barrale, Walter Ferretto, Luca Zecchin, Ugo Alciati, Giovanni Grasso.
